YO! My name is Preston Davis. I am a senior. I am an English & Sociology Major. I am from Monroe. North Carolina but was born in Brighton and raised in Framingham Massachusetts. I am your Secretary of Diversity. My job as I understand it is to advocate for issues surrounding diversity as well as be as liaison between the Student Government Association and the diverse student population at UMass. I want to take this understanding of my position and amplify what this means. Improving the student experience by ways of increased communication between the student population, the administration, and the town of Amherst can make it so that this is the model for how a center for public higher education should operate. Let’s make sure this school goes in the direction that we want…since were paying loads of money for it!
