Tina Kennedy is a senior political science major who has also been serving the students for four years. As a freshman and sophomore Senator Tina helped plan and fund popular events like Fill the Hill and Bowl Weekend. Overseeing the Finance Committee, Tina was directly responsible for helping hundreds of RSOs on campus, a job which she did amazingly. Last year, as Associate Speaker, “Mama Tina” helps kept the Senate running smoothly. In this role she proved that she was able to work with administrators, RSOs, students, and professors in a way that can’t be described as anything short of great. As the newly elected Student Trustee, she sits on the University of Massachusetts Board of Trustees which governs the 5 campus University system. The Board deals with approving academic programs, on-campus construction projects, fee/tuition rates etc. Tina sits on the Administration & Finance and the Student Life & Academic Affairs committees as a member of the Board.
