UMass SGA

Emily is a senior political science major, born and raised in Quincy, MA.
Emily is a varsity coxswain on the UMass Women’s Rowing team and is proud to be a 4 year student athlete.

As a political science major Emily has focused on environmental and energy policy. She has interned with the EPA and has a true passion for sustainability and renewable energy.After spending a semester in Washington D.C. interning in the President’s environmental policy office

Freshman year Emily served at the Secretary of the Gorman house council and helped plan many events for the Gorman/Wheeler cluster. Sophomore year Emily became a Senator representing the Southwest South area. She served on the Administrative Affairs Committee and Subsidiary Governance Bodies Select Committee where she helped change the election process for area governments and worked to make the SGA more efficient and transparent. She hopes to continue that work as Vice President. She has also served on the Select Committee on Athletic Pride and Development and the Football Review Committee representing the voices of student athletes on campus.

She served as the Undersecretary of the Registry for the Spring 2013 semester and loved getting to know students that are excited about creating RSOs and that want to make this campus a better place!

Bring Vice-President of the SGA is a huge honor and Emily is excited to be the first women in the position.

More than anything in the world Emily loves to snuggle with her Boston Terrier, Sammy.
