Join Student Government
There are many ways to join the SGA through the three branches of government. Click on the links to learn more about the different bodies.
Senate
To become a Senator, run in the fall elections. If you missed the elections, don’t worry! Throughout the year, seats become vacant. If a seat opens in your residential area and you would like to fill it, please contact us!

Committees
Once you become a Senator, you need to join a committee that focuses on an aspect of student life.
If you are not a Senator but you would like to participate in committee work, you can apply to be a Special Assistant to the Speaker for a specific committee. Applications are accepted in the fall semester after the Senate elections. If you are interested, be sure to contact us!
Cabinet
The Cabinet is appointed by the President and Student Trustee after they are elected in the spring. Cabinet positions are filled by application, and those applications will be posted on this website after Spring Break.

Judiciary
The Judiciary is appointed by the President after s/he is elected in the spring. There are currently no open positions.
Judicial Advisors
Judicial Advisors are hired in the spring by the Attorney General, a cabinet member. The deadline to apply to be a Judicial Advisor has already passed.
